G3 Wall abutment
The G3 Wall abutment is a complete zinc system designed to ensure a watertight and aesthetic connection between a VMZINC standing seam roof and a wall. It facilitates installation thanks to its pre-formed elements and patented clip, guaranteeing quick and reliable installation.

The G3 wall abutment kit is the latest addition to the G3 range following the well-established G3 ridge kit. It consists in 5 prefabricated components intended to provide a watertight and visually consistent junction between a wall and a VMZINC Standing seam roof.
It was developed to combine performance, fiability and simplicity:
- Prefabricated elements for easy installation,
- Patented mounting clips simplifying intallation
- Harmonious aesthetics with the G3 ridge kit.

The choice of shade must take into account the environmental conditions of the project. Each surface finishing may evolve differently depending on exposure (UV, snow, seaside, etc.) and application (roofing, façade, rainwater drainage).
In particularly aggressive environments, certain finishes may not be suitable. To ensure the durability and aesthetics of your project, we recommend that you consult the VMZINC technical services.

Installation
Main principals
1.
Prepare the profiles
Raise the top of each tray 90° to a height of 15 mm and make handkerchief corners at the angles.
2.
Install the Standing seam profiles
For ventilated roofs: leave a ventilation gap (minimum 10 mm) at the top of the slope. Create a double seam: mandatory for roofing.
3.
Adjust the angle
Ensure that the angle of the G3 connector matches the slope. Adjust it if necessary using a bending machine.
4.
Position the G3 clips
Mark the positions, then insert and adjust the clips in the standing seam without crushing them. Crimp again.
5.
Stick the decompression strip
Place the strip over the clips, along the entire length + 20 mm, using complete strips.
6.
Install the connecting plates
Leave a 5 mm gap between two covers. Slide the connection under the G3 abutment and bring the upper part back into place using a mallet.
7.
Secure the G3 abutment
Insert it into the clips and screw it in place using SPS 3-7.1-4.5 × 18 mm stainless steel screws (SR1 bit).
8.
Install the flashing strip
Position and place the VMZINC bevelled flashing strip on the G3 abutment.
9.
Remove the protective film
Remove in one go within 2 months of application, following the direction indicated, avoiding adhesives and greasy substances.
